MICROCLIMATE
Our country has a true weather treasure. In the whole world there are only six microclimates.
The microclimate in Sierra de los Comechingones is one of the three most important in the world, together with the microclimates in the Canary Islands and in coast of California.
Warm summers or winters sheltered by the heat of the sun under clear blue skies, any time of the year is a great time to consider Cortaderas as the ultimate tourist destination.
Villa de Merlo’s atmosphere has a higher ozone proportion than regular atmospheres, and in which the radioactivity generates nitrous oxide. This nitrous oxide when inhaled generates a feeling of well-being. Villa de Merlo is also one of the few regions in the world to have high percentages of negative ions. This natural condition causes energetic and stimulating effects which positively influences human mood. Villa de Merlo gives away its fresh air and captivates anyone who steps into this piece of land.
The mild sub-humid mountain weather of Cortaderas is the cause of it geographical position: far away from the sea coast and with the north-south orientation of the mountain range acting as a barrier for the current of moist air coming from the Atlantic, which causes this area to have a favorable slightly dry air.
Pleasant temperatures (average yearly temperature not exceeding 20º C), appropriate rain frequency, relatively low humidity, ideal winds and an incredible landscape; all these characteristics make Cortaderas a fantasy and healthy land, which is also beneficial for the function of the human body.
